The accounting publications previously on the market were aimed at the large public accounting firms, private accountants and academicians.

Bio: ROBERT A. BEHREN, CPA, Attorney, B.B.A, M.B.A, J.D. (first in class, N.Y.U), LL.M (N.Y.U.), recipient of numerous scholarships, fellowships and awards, is both a CPA and an attorney (listed in Martindale-Hubbell, the official directory of attorneys, as having earned the highest ratings it confers: "A" — Very High to Preeminent). He was a Professor of Taxation and Accounting at a major University for over 15 years. He has authored or edited over 2,000 published articles on taxes, accounting and financial management, some of which have been cited, as authority for their decisions, by the highest courts in the country (including the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Tax Court). He has founded and published leading financial magazines (including The Practical Accountant and Accounting Technology) and newsletters (including Clients Monthly Alert) for over 20 years (and has received a Presidential Commendation for Publishing from Ronald Reagan). He is a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot (Major, Ret.).

Bio: SIDNEY KESS, CPA, Attorney, B.B.A., J.D. (Harvard), LL.M. (NYU), is former National Director of Taxes at KMG Main Hurdman and former partner at KPMG Peat Marwick. Probably the best-known CPE lecturer, he has lectured to more than 600,000 practitioners and lay persons on tax, financial and estate planning. He has authored or co-authored more than a dozen major books (including 32 editions each of the AICPA's Individual and Corporate Tax Workshops), edited 4 major Newsletters, and authored hundreds of video and audio courses.
